Paul Dickerson, Former COO of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Joins Pegasus Capital Advisors

Brings extensive expertise in clean-technology and renewable energy investment to private equity firm

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Pegasus Capital Advisors today announced the appointment of Paul Dickerson as an Operating Advisor to the firm. Dickerson is the former Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and is a recognized leader in sustainability law who now heads the international clean-tech practice of the law firm of Haynes and Boone. As an Operating Advisor to Pegasus, Dickerson will be a resource to the growing number of Pegasus portfolio companies that focus on sustainability.

As EERE's Chief Operating Officer, Dickerson was responsible for directing the implementation of EERE priorities, policies, program development and execution, as well as strategic planning. Under his leadership, EERE (with its $1.8 billion budget and 1,000-member staff) successfully developed a commercialization mission, driving clean technology to market and helping U.S. companies compete and win in the global marketplace.

Prior to serving at the Department of Energy, Dickerson led an international staff of 1,200 in 80 countries and a budget of $223 million as Chief of Staff of the Department of Commerce's Foreign Commercial Service.

Dickerson is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the South Texas College of Law.
