Lynx Aviation Flight Attendants Join the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA

WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A majority of Lynx Aviation flight attendants voted today to have the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) serve as their bargaining representative. The vote, counted by the National Mediation Board (NMB), showed 55 of the 87 eligible Lynx flight attendants electing AFA-CWA. Due to the high participation rate, the vote exceeded the NMB’s archaic rule that over half of the work group must participate in order for the election to be valid.

AFA-CWA filed a petition for election with the NMB after a strong majority of Lynx’s flight attendants signed representational cards earlier this year. Lynx Aviation is a regional carrier for Frontier Airlines and often has the moniker of Frontier Express.

Last week, AFA-CWA was also elected the bargaining representative for the over 150 flight attendants at Ryan International.
