BAM/Ballast Nedam Win Backing for Nieuwegein Town Hall Project

NIEUWEGEIN, The Netherlands, January 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The municipal council in Nieuwegein has announced its intention to award the construction contract for the new Town Hall to the team of BAM/Ballast Nedam.

The tender for installation work will be awarded separately but will still be under the direction of BAM/Ballast Nedam. The project as a whole is worth around EUR47 million. Once the municipal executive gives the green light, the assignment can proceed. Construction is due to get under way in April 2009 and the new Town Hall is expected to open its doors in the autumn of 2011.
