GridWise(R) Alliance Announces New Board of Directors: Smart Grid Stakeholder Group Welcomes Five New Board Members

WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – The GridWise Alliance, a coalition of 73 companies and organizations advocating for the development and deployment of a smart electricity grid, announced today its new Board of Directors for 2009. Individuals representing fifteen of the seventy-three GridWise Alliance Member Companies were recently elected by the membership to serve on the Board of Directors. Of these individuals, the Alliance is pleased to welcome five new Directors.

The Directors that are new to the GridWise Alliance Board are:

Kerrick Johnson, Vice President for External Affairs, VELCO;

Mark Maddox, Senior Vice President, Arcadian Networks;

Ralph Masiello, Senior Vice President, Energy Systems Consulting, KEMA, Inc.;

Dan Reicher, Director of Climate Change and Energy Initiatives, Google.org.; and

Ralph Zucker, Director, Smart Grid Development, BC Hydro.
