China may appeal anti-dumping ruling
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said it may appeal a European Union decision to take anti-dumping measures against Chinese fasteners.
The ruling against Chinese products lacked justness and transparency, said Yao Jian, a spokesman for the Ministry, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday.
China will study and assess the verdict and retain the right to appeal to the World Trade Organization.
Europe’s manufacturing industries are a major market for Chinese fasteners such as nuts, bolts and screws, Xinhua said.
Yao said the ruling displayed
obvious probability toward trade protectionism.
