United Airlines Launches Washington-Moscow Service With Fare Sale, Bonus Miles

CHICAGO, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Airlines is launching
the first-ever nonstop service linking Washington, D.C. with Moscow with
red-hot deals to Red Square and a bonus-mile offer that make the airline's
latest capital-to-capital addition more affordable and more rewarding.
The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart Washington Dulles on March 29.
Sample fares to Moscow are each way, based on required roundtrip purchase
by Feb. 18 for travel Mondays through Thursdays between April 3 and May 14:

Mileage Plus(R) members can also earn bonus miles on United flights to and
from Moscow. Customers who purchase by March 29 and fly between March 29 and
June 30 on a qualifying United roundtrip between the United States and Moscow
can earn:

-- 7,500 bonus miles for United Business (C, D and Z booking classes)
-- 5,000 bonus miles for United Economy in Y, B, M and H classes

FARE FACTS: Fares are each way based on required roundtrip purchase for
United Economy(R) travel on United Airlines(R), Lufthansa and United
Express(R) carriers. For tickets purchased through United reservation offices
or at airport ticket counters, additional reservation fees will apply: $25 for
United reservation office bookings and $30 for airport ticket counter
bookings. No reservation fees are added for tickets purchased at united.com.

Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights/dates. Purchase
Requirements: Tickets must be purchased at least 7 days in advance and
ticketed within 24 hours of making reservations, but no later than 1/31/09.
Sale fares apply to U.S. and Canada point-of-sale only. Reservations and
ticket purchases on united.com must be completed simultaneously. Travel
Days/Dates: Travel is valid on Monday-Thursday with outbound travel between
4/3/09-5/14/09. Fares for other days of the week are higher. Blackout Dates:
None. Min./Max. Stay: Fares require a Saturday night minimum stay and a
maximum stay of 30 days is permitted. Additional Taxes/Fees: U.S./Puerto
Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands fares do not include a $3.60 per flight segment tax.
A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. Fares do not
include the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement at a U.S.
airport or Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18, which may be collected
depending on the itinerary. Fares for Hawaii and Alaska do not include a $8
(each way) departure tax. For travel from Canada, fares do not include U.S.
Inspection fees of $7, taxes/fees imposed by the Canadian government of up to
$19.50, and a $32.20 international departure and arrival tax if outside of the
225 mile buffer zone. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and
departure taxes and agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $50.
For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation,
security, and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $250 (each way) will
apply depending on destination. For return travel from some countries, fares
do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45, which may be
collected by the foreign government. Itinerary Changes. U.S. and Canada
tickets are non-refundable. No changes may be made after ticketed departure
date for any portion of the ticket. Tickets whose reservations are cancelled
prior to the ticketed departure date are valid for travel one year from the
original issuance date for a service charge of $250. Changes made on or before
departure are subject to fare rules and a service charge of $250. If a
reservation is not cancelled before the ticketed departure date, the ticket
