Posted on: Thursday, 5 February 2009, 12:35 CST

MIRAMAR, Fla., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Gulf Building Corp. has completed the construction of the $15.4 million, 38,000-square-foot Miramar Multi-Service Complex that will provide residents with numerous social, health and city services. The complex is located in the heart of historic Miramar at 6700 Miramar Parkway, the site of the old city hall.

The Old Florida style architecture of the complex provides a high level of curb side appeal. The structure will be home for nine partner agencies, including a 2,500-square-foot Primary Care Center that will offer uninsured residents routine medical care in cooperation with the Memorial Healthcare System.

Other services besides the non-emergency, walk-in clinic will include after-school services, a senior center, state Division of Juvenile Justice youth programs, a WorkForce One job application center and more. There is also a banquet hall for community functions and a reading room.

"This was a gratifying project to build a state-of-the-art facility that will mean so much for the residents of Miramar," said John Scherer, Gulf Building Partner and Vice President of Construction. "We thank the city for choosing us as their construction partner for the Multi-Service Complex."

Recent public projects completed by Gulf Building, besides the Miramar Multi-Service Complex, includes its design and construction of the new 50,000-square-foot, $16 million Public Safety Complex at the Big Cypress Seminole Community.
