Posted on: Wednesday, 11 February 2009, 07:15 CST

Tiered certification is offered for American-produced goods which contain 50%-100% U.S.-made materials

GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- My American Jobs, Inc. announced today they will roll out a standardized manufacturing certification process. My American Jobs, Inc. is designed to provide American manufacturers and consumers an easy way to identify products produced with 50%-100% American materials. The overall purpose of My American Jobs, Inc. is to help overcome the economically damaging behaviors of importing foreign materials and outsourcing American jobs.

My American Jobs, Inc. will partner with manufacturers and various patriotic, consumer, manufacturing, and worker organizations to establish responsible purchasing habits across the United States.

"We wanted to provide a way for consumers to make educated purchasing decisions that help to ensure America's economic stability as well as the growth and longevity of American jobs. Patriotic purchasing has moved beyond a grassroots-driven show of force to an economic necessity," said Bryan Aldridge, CEO, My American Jobs, Inc.

The My American Jobs, Inc. certification is a voluntary manufacturing certification process which helps American companies to build market share through patriotic purchasing and manufacturing habits.

My American Jobs, Inc. is developing an Internet network to provide consumers with instant access to certified American products, their manufacturers, and retailers.

"The economic future of the United States lies squarely on the shoulders of American manufacturers, workers, and consumers. When you purchase a foreign-made hammer you employ 20 foreign workers. When you buy a hammer made in America with American made components you employ 20 of your family, friends, neighbors, and fellow countrymen," Aldridge concluded.

About My American Jobs

Few Americans have not been directly impacted by the outsourcing of jobs to foreign companies. It is experienced time and again with family, friends, and neighbors. The unthinkable task of uprooting and relocating families to locations where few jobs remain is now an unfortunate reality.

The founders of My American Jobs, Inc. understood that manufacturing outsourcing was to have dramatic, negative, long-term effects on our economy. Something needed to be done to highlight the issue and promote positive long-term action.

My American Jobs, Inc. wanted to promote companies that made a conscious decision to buy U.S.-based components but were struggling to maintain competitive edge over companies that outsource or import their products.

As consumers, the founders of My American Jobs, Inc. understand the difficulty and frustration consumers experience when trying to find domestic-produced products. By combining the needs of the country, manufacturer, and consumer, My American Jobs, Inc. has set a standard by which companies would adhere that provides highly visible and trusted insignia that will be easily recognized by all patriotic consumers.
