General Purpose Triac Control Board from LCR Electronics Couples Cost-effective Design with Variable Speed Motor Control
Posted on: Wednesday, 18 February 2009, 11:31 CST
The EC101 boards, which feature a bidirectional electronic switch that conducts current in either direction when triggered, are ideal for use in many high volume control applications including fluid pumps, fans, lamp dimmers, and vacuum cleaners as well as small appliances such as blenders and mixers.
The design of the EC101 series focuses on performance and flexibility, offering product designers an affordable option for motion control. Although the EC101 comes standard with a 12 A maximum current load, upgrades are available if needed. Options available from the factory are fixed or variable (potentiometer set) voltage reduction and an EMI filter. Input voltage is 120/240 VAC and normal operating temperature is 0 degrees C to +85 degrees C (+32 degrees F to +185 degrees F).
The boards come in a wide array of shapes, sizes and power configurations including dimensions as small as 1" x 2" x 0.25". The EC101 series can be tailored to fit specific application dimensions at very little additional cost. LCR's expertise in customization and rapid prototyping enable the extremely quick delivery of EC101 boards for unique and specific applications.
The EC101 series includes RoHS-compliant and optional sealed potted modules.
As with many control boards provided by LCR, the EC101 series is a standard product with features and design elements easily tailored to meet specific application requirements.
