Clariant Names Marketing Executive McClanahan To Head Its Global Archroma Business

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective March 31, 2009, Brad McClanahan, Head of Marketing, Apparel & Interior for Clariant's Textile business in North America since 2006, will assume the additional responsibility of managing the company's global Archroma(R) business.

McClanahan was a member of the Clariant team that conceptualized and introduced Archroma Global Services to the apparel and fashion industry in 2001.

Archroma's landmark combination of proprietary methods, systems and technologies revolutionized global color management for retailers and brand owners, beginning in America and ultimately reaching around the world. It led to important collaborations such as a partnership with Pantone, moving the Clariant brand into an even more visible position with its customers and prospects.

As Director of Archroma, McClanahan will focus on global business development for color management products and services as well as operational management of Archroma facilities in the United States and in Guangzhou, China.

McClanahan received a bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and International Finance, both from Virginia Tech. He joined Clariant in 1993 bringing with him extensive production management experience in the U.S. textile industry. He has served in a variety of positions including Technical Representative, Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager and Market Segment Manager.
