Rebuilding Together Teams with Sherwin-Williams to Launch Rebuilding Together Greater Los Angeles

— Rebuilding Together Greater Los Angeles Becomes 12th Southern California Affiliate Working to Preserve Affordable Homeownership joining over 200 Affiliates Nationwide—

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Rebuilding Together the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities announced today the launch of Rebuilding Together Greater Los Angeles (RTGLA) which extends the organization’s work to address much needed community revitalization needs in the Greater L.A. region.

Led by Rebuilding Together and national sponsor Sherwin-Williams, three low-income homes will be renewed and restored today. This massive volunteer effort will bring together as many as 150 individuals and community leaders to provide major home repair and modifications at no cost to the homeowners.

Work scopes on the homes include a number of critical repairs and modifications which may include plumbing, electrical drywall repair and painting, flooring, new bathrooms, accessibility modifications, and roofing along with energy efficient upgrades. All of the recipients are low-income homeowners living on disability payments or small pensions and were unable to make the needed repairs to their home without the assistance of Rebuilding Together.

Sherwin-Williams along with Union Roofers Contractor’s Association will be awarded the Home Town Heroes Award bestowed by Rebuilding Together for their significant contributions to this affiliate.
