Jacobs Receives Engineering Design Services Contract from BAA for Enhancements and Expansion of Gatwick Airport's South Terminal

PASADENA, Calif., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has received a contract from BAA to provide multidisciplinary engineering and design services for an expansion and enhancement program at Gatwick Airport's South Terminal. The contract is part of a larger development program at Gatwick.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

The South Terminal program includes a new entrance forecourt, pier refurbishment, new immigration facilities and check-in concourse area. The program will be integrated with the development of the baggage facilities, which Jacobs designed.

Construction work will begin in 2009 and will be complete in 2013.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Allyn Taylor stated, "This contract award further strengthens our relationship with BAA and we look forward to providing them with a diverse range of quality services."
