AAA Announces Online Foreign Currency Exchange Program

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AAA and Wells Fargo announced today an expansion of services as part of their partnership which provides AAA members with a comprehensive foreign exchange program. Wells Fargo will now offer foreign currency to AAA members at AAA.com, along with services available at participating AAA locations across the country.

By logging on to AAA.com, AAA members can order foreign currency online and have the currency mailed to their home. With over 70 types of currencies offered, AAA members can have the most popular currencies available within two business days and exotic currencies available in about five business days when ordering.

As with the current program, the new online program also allows AAA members to mail unused currency to Wells Fargo where it will be exchanged back to U.S. dollars at the current exchange rate with no fees on the buy back.

"AAA's new online Foreign Currency Exchange program allows members an easy and convenient way to purchase foreign currency before leaving on their trip," said Tom Wilt, AAA's managing director of Partnership Programs. "This is a great way for travelers to avoid high exchange rates at ATMs or exchange kiosks and also have local currency in their pocket when they arrive at their destination to pay for purchases."
