Estes Expands its Mexico Service
March 3, 2009
RICHMOND, Va., March 3 /PRNewswire/ — North American LTL carrier Estes Express Lines has expanded its Mexico service and launched its new Mexico third-party logistics subsidiary, Estes Logistica.
Estes has been offering service to Mexico since 2003 with coverage to all major commercial markets. Through Estes Logistica, the company offers complete strategic solutions for freight consolidation and transportation to and from virtually every point in Mexico.
Customers now have seamless door-to-door service between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico in addition to border-to-border service. Estes also offers logistics coordination for intra-Mexico freight. These services give customers a one-stop-shop experience, innovative consolidation options designed to save money on border and brokerage fees, and the security of complete visibility of their freight from origin to destination.
“NAFTA has created a tremendous amount of commerce between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada,” said CEO
Rob Estes. “Estes Logistica is in place to reliably meet the transportation needs of manufacturers to get their materials and goods wherever they have to go.”
With this service expansion, Estes has established representation in Mexico with key locations in Monterrey and Mexico City. The expert border-crossing team at the main gateway for interior Mexico in Laredo, TX, works with any broker chosen and follows through on all border details. Estes does business at all major border-crossing points, including Laredo, McAllen and El Paso, TX; Calexico and San Diego, CA; and Tucson, AZ, on the U.S. side. Border points on the Mexico side include Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Juarez, Nogalez, Mexicali and Tijuana.
Other service benefits include a money-saving, flexible pricing structure on Mexico lanes; innovative consolidation options designed to save shippers money on border and brokerage fees; the ability to pay in either pesos or U.S. dollars; and experienced, bilingual professionals.
