Frontier Leads Major Carriers in Fewest Canceled Flights in January 2009

Department of Transportation statistics also show Frontier among industry leaders in other key performance categories

DENVER, March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines finished first among major carriers(1) in overall flight completion and second overall during January 2009 as measured by the Department of Transportation's monthly Air Travel Consumer Report. The report details the operational performance of the 19 largest domestic air carriers, including the 11 recognized major airlines. The DOT released its January 2009 stats on Wednesday, March 11.

January's 99.5% flight completion rate marks the twentieth time in the last 25 months that Frontier has led the majors in fewest flight cancellations.

Frontier ranked fourth among the major carriers in baggage performance. January marked the sixth consecutive month in which Frontier has ranked among the top five major carriers in fewest delayed and mishandled bags.

In January 2009, Frontier finished second among major carriers in fewest complaints filed with the DOT.

Once again, Frontier reported no flights on the DOT's list of chronically delayed or canceled flights. (These are flights delayed or canceled over 70% of the time.)
