Iran to import gasoline for three months
The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Co., said Monday the government had ordered the import of gasoline to shore up national reserves.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ordered the country's Oil Ministry to import gasoline for three months, NIORDC Managing Director Noureddin Shahnazizadeh told the Fars News Agency reported Monday.
The Iranian Parliament voted down any subsidy for the gasoline, which is also intended for public sale.
The Iranian Parliament also voted against allocation of any subsidy for imported gasoline, which will be sold at market price, Shahnazizadeh said.
