Dan Pastorini and DP7 Racing's Gallardo GTR Roars to Sebring International Raceway

Only Lamborghini Racing in the U.S.

HOUSTON, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Dan Pastorini, former NFL star quarterback for the Houston Oilers is gearing up to take the only Lamborghini racing in the USA, the DP7 Gallardo GTR, to Sebring International Raceway in Florida on March 20, 2009.

"My first love has always been racing and nothing looks better on the track or is generating more interest and excitement than our Gallardo GTR," Pastorini said. "We have assembled a group of racing professionals from Formula 1 to Indy Cars. We operate out of a first class facility here in Houston and I feel confident that we have all the ingredients of a winning team."

Not immune to the economic downturn, Pastorini and his team are actively pursuing partners and sponsors. "There is one driving force behind any race team and that's sponsorship, without it you simply cannot succeed. We have no factory support from Lamborghini, but our privateer team has shown what vision, dedication and talent can accomplish. This race is just what we need to showcase this car and our team and an opportunity for a potential sponsor to capitalize on a unique high profile race team," Pastorini said.

No vehicle on the road symbolizes fast, sexy and exotic more than Lamborghini. Now thanks to DP7 Racing, a Lamborghini will be added to the list competing in SCCA's premier professional event, The Speed World Challenge GT Series. The DP7 Gallardo GTR will be competing against Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches, Mustangs, Aston Martins, Lotus' and others.

Often called the "Woodstock of Motorsports," Sebring is world famous for the annual 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race. Every year on the third Saturday of March, the raceway hosts thousands of fans from around the world to witness the historic 12 hour classic. All the legends have raced at Sebring...Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Dan Gurney and dozens of other international motor racing stars.
