IABC/Pittsburgh Presents Going Green: Communicating Environmental Messages

PITTSBURGH, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Going Green is the hot topic right now as businesses have begun to develop products, services and buildings that can make a tangible environmental difference in the communities they serve. Join IABC/Pittsburgh on Thursday, March 19 to learn about the local green movement and how businesses can use effective communication to educate and promote their environmental efforts.

The lunchtime program will feature three local experts on the topic. Jeaneen Zappa, director of Green Business Development at the Green Building Alliance, will discuss the basics of communicating green with an eye on the implications businesses face beyond just promoting their environmental efforts and products.

Robin Randall, vice president of Corporate Marketing at TRACO, will speak about how TRACO educates and promotes the company's green-conscious targets as they go to market with new and innovative green products.

Stephan Bontrager, director of Education and Community Engagement at WYEP Radio 91.3 FM, will showcase the efforts behind opening and promoting the WYEP Community Broadcast Center - the nation's first green radio station located in Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood.

There will be ample time for questions and answers in this interactive panel discussion.

The program is Thursday, March 19 at The Engineer's Society of Western Pennsylvania 337 Fourth Avenue, downtown Pittsburgh. The schedule is 11:30 a.m. registration and networking, noon lunch and 12:30 p.m. panel discussion and Q&A. Cost is $30 for IABC members, $45 for non-members and $20 for full-time students.
