Integral Systems, Inc., Demonstrates Corporate Commitment to Continuous Process Improvement

LANHAM, Md., March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISYS), today announced that its Government Systems segment has achieved the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI(R)) Maturity Level 3 rating. The Maturity Level 3 rating denotes superior process maturity within business and has become a competitive differentiator for many government programs.

“Achieving a CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating is a significant milestone for Integral Systems,” said Joseph Nickey, Vice President, Quality Assurance, Integral Systems. “This achievement confirms our leadership position in the industry and further distinguishes us in the market. A CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating clearly demonstrates to our customers that Integral Systems is fully committed to a culture of continuous improvement, product quality, and program excellence.”

The CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating was determined by a team of trained assessors using the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement and the CMMI for Development and Integrated Product and Process Development, version 1.2. The appraisal team was led by an independent and SEI-authorized Lead Appraiser, and spent several weeks examining more than 3,000 pieces of evidence. The successful appraisal provides independent verification of Integral Systems’ process maturity as measured against an internationally accepted industry standard.

Capability Maturity Model Integration and CMMI are registered in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office by Carnegie Mellon University.
