China, Indonesia to increase cooperation

China and Indonesia have reached a cooperation agreement involving investment and industry, Indonesian Industry Minster Fahmi Idris said.

The industrial cooperation between Indonesia and China`s province of Jilin is intended among other things to promote economic development in the two countries, he said at the opening of a forum on trade between Indonesia and China's Jilin province, Antara reported Monday.

China's Jilin region is famous for its technology and industry, he said, calling China an important partner with Indonesia in the field of trade.

The Jilin business delegation is present at the forum to develop various cooperation strategies in various fields, said Jilin Vice Gov. Chen Weigen.
