American Eagle Airlines to Launch Nonstop Jet Service Between Montgomery, Ala., and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport

New Nonstop Service Begins June 11, 2009

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Montgomery (Ala.) Regional Airport (MGM) and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), beginning June 11.

American Eagle will operate the service with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.

"This service will allow our new customers from Montgomery the opportunity to travel to western U.S. destinations that American Airlines or American Eagle fly to from our DFW Hub. Business customers will also have the ability to take a quick day trip to Dallas."

"The addition of American Eagle's flights will strengthen our status as a center for commerce. American Eagle last served Montgomery in November of 2000.

From DFW, American and American Eagle operate approximately 745 daily departures to nearly 160 nonstop destinations. American Airlines starts new service to Madrid beginning May 1. Madrid will be the 34th international destination served by American and American Eagle from its Dallas/Fort Worth hub, depending on the season.
