Sara Lee recalls Ball Park Franks
U.S. food giant Sara Lee Corp. said it was recalling 1,728 pounds of Ball Park hot dogs, which were put into the wrong packages.
The company said part of a production run of hot dogs containing cheese — Ball Park Cheese Franks — were put into packages for Ball Park Franks, The Chicago Tribune reported Friday.
The recall involves Ball Park Beef Franks with UPC Code 5450010002, and packaging with
USE BUY May 08 09 P8740A printed on them.
The company declined to comment on where the hot dogs were sold, but said no illnesses have been reported.
Consumers at risk include those allergic to milk, poultry and pork, the newspaper said.
