Siemens, Gazprom seek natural gas deal
A Siemens Corp. official says the company wants to partner with Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom to produce liquefied natural gas.
The German company’s vice president, Dietrich Moeller, told Gazprom’s corporate magazine that Siemens hopes a partnership could begin with the Shtokman offshore gas field in the Arctic, ITAR-Tass reported Saturday.
Moeller reportedly said that such a partnership was discussed when the presidents of the two companies met recently, saying Siemens could play very helpful role in implementing Gazprom’s projects on the Yamal Peninsula in Siberia.
We have vast prospects, Moeller told the magazine.
The volume of interaction between Gazprom and Siemens is on the rise.
