Another Local First: New Environmentally Safe Construction Project; Valley's 'Brown Cloud' Targeted

MESA, Ariz., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The construction site of First Mesa Commerce Park is set to become ground zero in the war against construction-related air and water pollution as a team of businesses demonstrate an advanced, "green" construction method. And if put into widespread use, the Valley's "brown cloud" could be dramatically reduced.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday March 31 at 1:00PM.

The product, manufactured by Glendale firm Enssolutions, Inc. helps to cut costs, save water, and cut air pollution by eliminating dust as well as stopping potential groundwater contamination in concrete mixing and paving projects. Another local firm, Professional Building Services (PBS), is using the new product in an effort to promote environmentally responsible and greener building techniques. The techniques being used exceed current state and county environmental requirements while also using recycled concrete and asphalt.

"This product could really revolutionize dust control methods and help eliminate air pollution caused by construction projects," said Sean Penningroth, Principal of PBS. "This is an important positive step in the right direction for responsible development and construction as well as the health of the surrounding communities."

City of Mesa officials have been invited to join representatives from the team of 'green' businesses and the landowners this Tuesday for a site visit of the project.
