The Mansion on Peachtree Hotel and Residences, a Rosewood Hotels property, is a 42-story tower located in the upscale Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. This luxury hotel and residence property includes 127 hotel rooms, 45 residential units, fine dining and a world-class spa. The hotel opened in April of 2008.

"We are dedicated to achieving both sustainability and occupant comfort," said Lolita Obie, Engineering Coordinator and Sustainability Manager for The Mansion on Peachtree. "GREENGUARD Building Construction Certification is one way we accomplish our goal and ensure the best indoor environment for our guests and occupants."

To achieve this certification, the team of Holder Construction Company and City Centre Properties LLC, worked with the building scientists of Air Quality Sciences, a national building consulting organization, to develop and implement a comprehensive moisture management plan for the building project. This plan addressed all phases of construction including design review; periodic on-site construction monitoring and document reviews; testing of materials and air quality both during and at the completion of construction; development and implementation of an operations and maintenance plan; and comprehensive staff instruction. After completion, the building undergoes quarterly on-site inspections to ensure continued effectiveness of the moisture management plan. Designing and building to this robust national moisture management standard assures architects, contractors, building owners and building occupants that the best practices were used to prevent the damage of moisture intrusion and resulting mold growth.

The GREENGUARD Building Construction Certification is awarded by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, a third-party, non-profit organization committed to improving indoor air quality and providing healthy indoor environments.

"We are pleased to recognize The Mansion on Peachtree as GREENGUARD Certified to meet the most stringent moisture management standard available," said Dr. Marilyn Black, Founder of the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. "This demonstrates Rosewood's long-term commitment to protecting the health and comfort of their occupants and tenants and to protecting the value of their property."
