Global Finance Executive Alain Brunais Joins FreeFlight Systems as New Chief Financial Officer

WACO, Texas, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- FreeFlight Systems, a global supplier of high criticality avionics systems, announces the appointment of Alain Brunais as chief financial officer. Reporting to Tim Taylor, FreeFlight Systems' chief executive officer, Brunais is responsible for managing the financial strategy of the company as well as leading the accounting, finance, regulatory compliance, risk management, business operations, and tax functions.

Brunais brings more than 35 years of international experience in finance and accounting with multi-billion global corporations, primarily in the aerospace industry. Prior to joining FreeFlight Systems, Brunais held executive level positions, including chief financial officer, with Turbomeca, a U.S. subsidiary of Safran that provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for helicopter OEMs and operators. In this position, he was responsible for regulatory compliance and the successful implementation of a new risk management methodology. In addition to his compliance role, he led all financial activities under U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Previously, he was the chief financial officer for AQA Alliance (now Veolia Environmental Services), the U.S. subsidiary of Veolia that provides management, consulting, and engineering services for water and waste water treatment plants. Earlier, he held management positions with Essroch, Ciments Francais' U.S. subsidiary, and Corporate International Division in France. Brunais started his career in the aerospace industry as a sales engineer with EADS.
