AirTran Airways Ranked Top Low-Cost Air Carrier By Airline Quality Rating - Again

The AQR reports that AirTran Airways maintained its on-time performance in 2008 with more than three-quarters (76.8 percent) of flights being on time. In addition, the airline improved its mishandled baggage rate, dropping to an industry best 2.87 per 1,000 passengers in 2008 (from 4.06 per 1,000 passengers in 2007).
The Airline Quality Rating 2009 reflects monthly scores for the calendar year 2008 and is based on four major areas: on-time performance, denied boardings, mishandled baggage and customer complaints. Researchers at the
