EAST LYME, Conn., April 13 /PRNewswire/ — Connecticut Valley Homes recently partnered with Haven Custom Homes to formalize its position as Haven’s Certified Builder serving most of Connecticut and Rhode Island, plus Block Island and Fishers Island. Haven’s Certified Builder program provides partner builders, like Connecticut Valley Homes, direct access to Haven’s portfolio of award winning architects’ home designs known as “The Haven Collection” as well as pricing, design and priority scheduling.

The partnership under the Certified Builder program is fairly recent but Connecticut Valley Homes and Haven Custom Homes are no strangers when it comes to their working relationship. The two companies have worked together for 28 years and have built approximately 1,400 homes together throughout the years. “We are very proud of our relationship with Connecticut Valley Homes and most excited about the enhanced partnership we have now forged,” says Jerry Smalley, CEO and president of Haven Custom Homes.

The companies have embraced numerous building trends over the years and have grown throughout their tenure together. The one thing that has remained a constant is the increasing demand and positive public perception of modular building in the Northeast, particularly the Connecticut and Rhode Island markets. “Consumers recognize the benefits and advantages of the modular method of home building. A stigma of modular doesn’t exist in our market,” says Richard Wildermuth, president of Connecticut Valley Homes. “In fact it’s quite the contrary. Customers today want more value in both their new home and the building experience. They appreciate the precision, higher quality, customization, and significantly reduced time requirements of modular building as practiced by Connecticut Valley Homes and Haven.”

Today’s modular homes are more energy efficient, and built to higher levels of quality than conventional site built solutions. As evidenced by the breadth of the Haven Collection of floor plans, modern modular techniques offer customers an extensive array of new home design options. Connecticut Valley Homes, through its partnership with Haven, prides itself on delivering superior design solutions. Customers may select plans from the extensive libraries of both companies or provide plans of their own. “The Haven Collection” features dozens of home designs from nationally and regionally recognized architects.

Customers can also choose designs from a new series of homes, “The Catherine Taylor Collection,” created by Connecticut Valley’s resident designer and founder Catherine Taylor. “Designing a home is like fitting the pieces of a puzzle together. It is my job to listen to what our customers want, and how they plan to use the space in their new home. I take into consideration such things as the specific rooms they need, their lifestyle, view, site orientation, everyone’s need for a good kitchen and extra storage space, and most importantly the budget they have chosen. I take great satisfaction from the many positive comments I receive. It is a terrific feeling when our customers tell me that they love their new home so much they never want to leave… being home just feels good!” “The Catherine Taylor Collection” is available at the Connecticut Valley Home’s Model Home Centers now, and will be available to customers online later this year.
