Exelon and Volvo Construction Equipment recognized as innovation leaders for supply chain management and strategic sourcing; The Mpower Group’s Anne Kohler and Dalip Raheja are 2009 Practitioner PROS TO KNOW

CHICAGO, April 14 /PRNewswire/ — Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive’s magazine for successful supply and demand chain transformation, recognized two members of The Mpower Group (TMG) as Provider PROS TO KNOW. Among the eighteen Practitioner PROS TO KNOW, two are TMG clients.

Award recipients:

  • Bridget Reidy, Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Officer, Exelon Corporation

“(Bridget) has integrated the goal of a ‘green’ supply chain with reducing the total cost for Exelon. She is an industry leader in demonstrating that going green does not have to be at the expense of total cost.”

  • Doug Rohn, Vice President Global Sourcing and Purchasing, Volvo Construction Equipment

“(To become cost competitive), Doug knew that the people within the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (P&SM) organization had to develop and utilize new competencies. He therefore launched EVEREST, a competency improvement initiative, which has close to 100% participation … It is because of these critical initiatives that the P&SM organization is now recognized as a strategic organization within VCE.”

  • Anne Kohler, Executive Vice President and COO, The Mpower Group

“Tough economic times usually create the greatest opportunity for her clients … Strategic Sourcing’s primary focus has always been to create efficiencies, which is usually not welcome in good times. Her advice to her clients is to seize the opportunity and use these tough times to their advantage.”

  • Dalip Raheja, President and CEO, The Mpower Group

“Organizations are slowly starting to recognize that Supply Chains are now a major source of risk with serious implications for (firm) survivability. By utilizing a portfolio risk management approach, Dalip has helped (clients) develop robust Risk Management programs that are helping them identify various risks throughout their entire supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.”

Dalip Raheja says:

“The Mpower Group is proud of Volvo Construction Equipment and Exelon Corporation, and the work each has done to further the Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing disciplines. There is no greater reward in our profession than when our clients successfully achieve their goals.

“Anne and I are honored to be recognized as Thought Leaders in this space; the acknowledgement comes as a welcome addition to the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 recognition of firm members as PROS TO KNOW.”
