R. Hadly Waters Supply Chain Symposium Explores Importance, Vulnerability of Global Supply Chains

Symposium features keynote speakers from Schneider International and Wal-Mart, Stores Inc.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., April 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The roller coaster ride of fuel prices and the 9/11 terrorist attacks prove that transportation is not only a vital segment of our economy, it’s increasingly the most vulnerable.

Chris Lofgren, President and CEO of Schneider National, Inc., and Chris Sultemeier, senior vice president of transportation for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., will be among the logistics and transportation experts addressing transportation challenges and solutions at the 19th annual R. Hadly Waters Supply Chain symposium held at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College April 22 and 23.

Bob Novack, associate professor at Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and an organizer of the symposium, said people attending the symposium are introduced to a range of presentations and best practices that they may have the opportunity to implement in their own organizations.
