The VW Golf VI features BorgWarner timing drive systems, turbochargers, and ignition and diesel cold start technologies. In addition, BorgWarner supplies DualTronic(R) dual clutch and control modules for the DSG six-speed transmission on the 2.0-liter turbo gas and TDI turbo diesel models.
For the Nissan GT-R, BorgWarner provides its award-winning DualTronic(R) dual clutch, control, and actuator modules, plus triple cone synchronizer assemblies for the world’s first longitudinal transaxle dual-clutch transmission.
The Fiat 500 features BorgWarner turbochargers for the 1.3-liter diesel, timing drive systems for the 0.9-liter gasoline engine, and high pressure solenoids for the optional “Dualogic” automated manual transmission (AMT).
The sixth annual World Car awards recognize and reward automotive excellence on a global scale. Eligible cars must be in production and sold on at least two continents during 2008. Winners are chosen by an international panel of 59 automotive journalists from 25 countries. The awards were announced at the New York International Auto Show.
