Smartcool signs distribution agreement exposing its energy efficiency solutions to South African marketplace

VANCOUVER, April 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) is pleased to report the company has signed a distribution agreement with Aruba Cooling Pty Ltd., based in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Aruba agreed to distribute the Smartcool Energy Savings Module(TM) (ESM(TM)) and ECO(3)(TM) dependent on the assessment results generated from the installation at Vector Logistic's distribution centre in Bellville South, South Africa. Smartcool's ESM(TM) technology was installed on existing refrigeration plant and monitored from October 2008 to February 2009. Subsequent results illustrated significant kilowatt hour savings (kWh) resulting in a two year payback on capital investment.

This translates into considerable cost savings and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
