Bosch executives will share their expertise as panelists at the AVL and FEV theaters throughout the week on various topics, including:
Monday, April 20 , at10 a.m. in the FEV theater - Dr.Johannes-Joerg Rueger , senior vice president, engineering, diesel systems, Bosch North America, "The Roadmap to 35 MPG: What Technologies Will Get Us There?"Wednesday, April 22 , at1:30 p.m. in the FEV theater -Joseph Slenzak , manager, hybrid-electric vehicle business development, Bosch North America, "Which Hybrid Concepts Will Rise to the Top? - The Race to the Marketplace."Wednesday, April 22 , at2:30 p.m. in the AVL theater - Dr.Walter Grote , senior vice president, corporate department automotive systems integration, Bosch, "Total Vehicular Energy Use Management."
In addition to the featured speakers, Bosch will present and or publish 34 technical papers, which align with this year's theme "Racing to Green Mobility." Topics include flex-fuel engines, cylinder pressure modeling and several combustion concepts.

A variety of Bosch technologies will be on display at its exhibit, Booth number 1236, on the SAE 2009 World Congress show floor. The exhibit will also feature a start/stop simulator and an exhaust aftertreatment demonstration.
The start/stop simulator demonstrates the system's ability to shut off the engine when a car is stationary, such as in a traffic jam or at a red light. Bosch's specially adapted starter, the Smart Starter Motor, starts again when the driver is prepared to go. The technology reduces fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
