Hollywood Star Christian Slater Returns to Ulusaba Private Game Reserve to See the New Classroom at the Nearby Jeremiah Creche

Creche, which he, Branson and guests of Ulusaba and Leopard Hill’s Lodge
jointly funded. The creche is supported by Pride ‘n Purpose, the charity arm
of Ulusaba, and will benefit over 60 disadvantaged children living in the
communities adjacent to the reserve.

In 2007 Christian and his son travelled to Ulusaba where they tracked the
‘Big Five’, relaxed in the peaceful surroundings and set out to learn more
about the nearby communities. He was deeply moved and touched by Pride ‘n
Purpose and their commitment to the local community after encountering the
daily lives of the Shangaan people firsthand. Subsequently, Christian donated
his home video of their safari experience, enabling Ulusaba to produce a
charity DVD “Our Safari Diary” to raise money for Pride n’ Purpose.
“Watching this classroom come to life after years of planning is truly
gratifying,” said Slater. “Access to education is essential to improving the
lives of disadvantaged children and I am thrilled to see what has been
achieved in the community in just the past two years. This speaks volumes
about the dedication and the heart of Ulusaba’s staff and Virgin Unite.”
Ulusaba can organise two types of Community Tours for their guests. A
tour of the Justicia Village which focuses on the rich culture of
Africa
some of the charitable projects and schemes Ulusaba actively promotes. These
can be tailored according to the guest’s interests.
