Energy Efficiency Detail in New 2009 MAISY Utility Customer Databases

Posted on: Tuesday, 21 April 2009, 07:00 CDT

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackson Associates today announced new energy-efficiency detail in the 2009 MAISY Utility Customer Databases. Energy efficiency measures are now provided for each customer record and for individual end uses such as space heating and air conditioning. In addition to providing current efficiency values, the databases show potential savings that can be achieved with efficiency measures and programs.

Databases are available for cities, counties, states and utilities throughout the US and include detailed energy use, hourly loads, building, occupancy and energy-efficiency measures for residential and commercial utility customers. Patented point-and-click software provides an easy-to-use resource to determine energy efficiency potentials, design efficiency programs, target program participants and assess program results.

MAISY databases, provided by Jackson Associates since 1995, provide the most comprehensive customer-detailed energy-use information available. Clients include municipalities, utilities, state and federal agencies, equipment manufacturers, private companies and other energy-related organizations.

"We are pleased to provide this new energy-efficiency data in time to be used with grant-related efforts of county, city and state agencies to conduct energy-efficiency potential studies and to develop energy efficiency programs that provide the greatest benefit per dollar of program expenditure" said Dr. Jerry Jackson, president of Jackson Associates.

"Our expansion of the databases to include extended energy-efficiency measures has been underway for several years," said Jackson. "For instance, we used some of this information to develop a working paper on the top-10 energy efficiency states for office buildings in July, 2008 (see http://www.maisy.com/wptop10.htm ) . We serve a broad base of energy-related organizations and we knew that efficiency issues would be a top agenda item for most of our clients in the near future."
