Posted on: Tuesday, 21 April 2009, 07:00 CDT
Databases are available for cities, counties, states and utilities throughout the US and include detailed energy use, hourly loads, building, occupancy and energy-efficiency measures for residential and commercial utility customers. Patented point-and-click software provides an easy-to-use resource to determine energy efficiency potentials, design efficiency programs, target program participants and assess program results.
MAISY databases, provided by Jackson Associates since 1995, provide the most comprehensive customer-detailed energy-use information available. Clients include municipalities, utilities, state and federal agencies, equipment manufacturers, private companies and other energy-related organizations.

"We are pleased to provide this new energy-efficiency data in time to be used with grant-related efforts of county, city and state agencies to conduct energy-efficiency potential studies and to develop energy efficiency programs that provide the greatest benefit per dollar of program expenditure" said Dr.
"Our expansion of the databases to include extended energy-efficiency measures has been underway for several years," said Jackson. "For instance, we used some of this information to develop a working paper on the top-10 energy efficiency states for office buildings in July, 2008 (see http://www.maisy.com/wptop10.htm ) . We serve a broad base of energy-related organizations and we knew that efficiency issues would be a top agenda item for most of our clients in the near future."
