Virgin America Launches New Service From SFO to Orange County

WHAT: Virgin America (VX), the award-winning domestic airline, is launching its new high-tech, low-fare service from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to John Wayne Airport in Orange County (SNA) with a special send-off for its inaugural flight at SFO. The carrier is launching five daily SFO-SNA roundtrips with fares starting at $49 one way. As the first low-cost carrier to start flying the SFO-SNA route, VX is injecting new competition into the market with award-winning service, WiFi on every flight, and one of the most fuel/carbon efficient fleets in the U.S. As the only Bay Area-based airline, with over 1400 employees, VX continues to spur job growth and airport traffic for the region. To mark the launch of its stylish 'more for less' service, VX is hosting an OC-worthy send-off for its first guests, with a surf- band and makeovers at the SFO Departure Gate and spray tanning offered on the arrival tarmac at SNA.
