Greenberg Traurig Expands its Energy and Natural Resources Practice With the Addition of Robert M. Lamkin

WASHINGTON, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that Robert M. Lamkin has joined its Washington, D.C. office as of counsel in the Energy and Natural Resources practice group. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Lamkin served as counsel to the energy trading and marketing affiliate of financial firm Susquehanna International Group, LLP.

With more than one decade of experience in the energy sector, Lamkin focuses his practice on the representation of energy trading firms, electric power generators and other energy industry participants in transactional matters as well as federal and state regulatory matters. He has handled numerous regulatory matters arising under the Federal Power Act, the Public Utility Holding Company Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act and the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Lamkin's transactional experience includes the negotiation of energy trading documentation, power purchase agreements and other energy industry documentation. Lamkin also has significant experience representing owners of renewable energy projects, hydroelectric projects, natural gas pipeline companies and LNG projects in a variety of transactional and regulatory matters.

Lamkin received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he was the associate editor of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University. Lamkin is a former assistant secretary and counsel of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council and the author of several articles about energy law.
