The U.S. space agency has awarded a $37 million Johnson Space Center contract to Anadarko Industries LLC of Houston for safety and fire support.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said Anadarko Industries will provide test safety support, fire protection system maintenance, mishap investigation support, safety awareness-motivation and safety information management.
Officials said the work might also be performed at NASA facilities in El Paso, Texas, and NASA's White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.
The three-year contract will begin July 1, with a two-year extension option.
NASA said MEI Technologies of Houston will be a major subcontractor for the contract.
