Building for Success

May 12, 2009

MILTON, Mass., May 12 /PRNewswire/ — In this economy, in order to survive and succeed, many firms are being forced to be more creative. To provide greater visibility in the community and bolster its business, Jackrabbit Design, a Milton-based strategic marketing design firm that provides its clients with innovative branding strategies, recently purchased a rundown building in East Milton Square and created their new headquarters. The company decided to transform a building that neighbors had previously called “the bunker” into a state-of-the-art creative design space. “The building was arguably the ugliest building in town when we bought it,” said David Belyea, Jackrabbit co-founder. “But we were energized by the design possibilities it presented and the synergies it could provide for our business. We hope that the transformation of our physical location is metaphorical for the strategic and innovative solutions that we offer our clients.”

With the firm’s usual hands-on approach, Jackrabbit engaged Grady Construction to take the building’s original bare light bulbs, fake wood paneling, and unfinished storage areas and turn the space into a light-filled, eco-friendly studio with multi-purpose workspaces. The interior design establishes a professional, yet comfortable ambiance that reflects Jackrabbit’s bright, creative personality; approachable work style; and focus on visual invention.

With its openness to its surrounding streets and sidewalks and its welcoming and friendly atmosphere, Jackrabbit’s building no longer has any resemblance to a bunker. “The town of Milton has done a lot to support our business and we feel that through this beautification and renovation project, we’re giving something back to the community.” Belyea added, “Jackrabbit is thriving in this economy, and we believe that in addition to our forward-thinking business and design team, the renovation and increased visibility of our physical location have played a large part in that.”
