As a recipient of the award, Jacobs demonstrated a strong commitment to small businesses through contract utilization and effectiveness, mentoring and outreach events, internal corporate policies and management support, and charitable giving.
Jacobs, NASA's largest supplier of engineering support services at eight NASA sites nationwide, has held the ESTS contract at Marshall Space Flight Center since 1989. The ESTS Group has a staff of more than 1,000 employees, with Jacobs as prime contractor and All Points Logistics, ERC, ICRC, Qualis, Snyder Technical Services, and Triumph Aerospace as teammate companies. Jacobs' support to NASA Marshall programs encompasses the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, the Ares family of launch vehicles, space science, advanced space transportation and exploration systems, payload development and operations, space optics fabrication and test, and advanced materials development and test.
