Posted on: Thursday, 21 May 2009, 10:52 CDT

Company also commits to build all homes to strict ENERGY STAR guidelines

DALLAS, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Classic Urban Homes is proud to announce the first registered Green Built Texas home in the city of University Park, Texas. Filled with energy efficient and healthy living features, this home at 4425 Grassmere is an affordable, new, modern-influenced, luxury home in the Park Cities.

With an anticipated completion date of early June 2009, this well-planned home has right-sized living spaces - perfect for any family. Featuring sizeable covered front and back porches and a true master suite upstairs with a private sitting room, this 4,387sf home has 5 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, and an oversized 2 car garage.

A winner of the 2009 D Home Best Builder award, the Company has also committed to building all of its new homes to ENERGY STAR guidelines. To earn the ENERGY STAR designation, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code, and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20-30% more efficient than standard homes. "We provide home buyers with homes that meet their needs. They are looking for energy efficiency in a home that supports their healthy living lifestyle," said Michael Turner of Classic Urban Homes.

Green Built Texas(TM) is a green building construction protocol sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas. Homes built to the program guidelines help improve site management, water efficiency, healthy indoor air quality, energy efficiency, material usage, and homeowner education. "Classic Urban Homes' use of the latest technology and the quality assurance earned from independent third-party verification demonstrates its commitment to its homebuyers," said Phil Crone, Director of Green Building Programs for the HBA. "It's great to know they are furthering the program in the Park Cities."
