MCS: Keeping Our Borders Safe
MCS implements US Department of Homeland Security, Custom and Border Protection's Strategic Border Initiative (SBInet) technology program. As a subcontractor through Boeing in the SBInet program, MCS is helping secure the nation's land borders through integration of current and next generation technology, infrastructure, staffing and response platforms.
The Remote Video Surveillance System deployed by MCS along the U.S. northern and southern borders provides accurate detection and identification of unauthorized border crossings. Advanced detection and identification coupled with information technology enables Border Patrol Agents to quickly, safely and accurately observe and respond to unauthorized border crossings.
"The work MCS has done for Homeland Security," Gonzalez said, "clearly shows why we need a technology partner able to deliver solutions with superb reliability. Trapeze Networks is the only WLAN company with NonStop Wireless Networking. That made our decision to partner with Trapeze Networks very easy. For the sake of my company -- and my country -- it was the right thing to do."
MCS's work in securing the U.S. northern and southern borders along key U.S. Mexican and Canadian border locations earned Gonzalez the U.S. Dept. of Customs and Border Patrol Medallion.
NonStop Wireless Networking: The Trapeze Advantage
