Digital Sandbox, Inc. Joins ESRI's Business Partner Program

Will Demonstrate Integrated Risk Management Solutions at Upcoming UASI Conference

MCLEAN, Va., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Sandbox, Inc., provider of the Risk Analysis Center (RAC), a leading suite of advanced risk-management software and analysis services, has joined ESRI's Business Partner Program as an ArcGIS developer. The companies will be demonstrating their joint solutions at the 2009 National Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Conference June 9-11 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With the integration of ESRI's ArcGIS Engine technology into its RAC software and managed services, Digital Sandbox has harnessed geographic information system (GIS) technology as a powerful tool for risk-based resource allocation. GIS makes complex information easy to understand by presenting data spatially. In Digital Sandbox's RAC software, every critical infrastructure asset for a jurisdiction is associated with a location on a map, along with relevant risk analysis and preparedness capabilities, applications, and data. By linking critical infrastructure locations to scenario-specific asset, threat, hazard, risk, and capability information and models (while simultaneously integrating incident information from live data feeds like WebEOC(TM) and E-Sponder) the RAC map provides government decision-makers and emergency responders with actionable, geographically aware risk information previously unavailable in any form. The COP system gave Tampa the ability to prepare for, monitor, and respond to the full range of potential risks.
