Ritchie Bros. to sell remaining 37 concrete pump trucks of Pumpco complete dispersal in Atlanta unreserved auction

Final opportunity for interested buyers to purchase from large inventory of concrete pump trucks

ATLANTA, GA, June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, is conducting an unreserved public equipment auction at the Company's permanent auction site in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, June 18, 2009 starting at 8:00 a.m. The auction will feature close to 1,300 items of equipment including 37 concrete pump trucks and other concrete equipment.

The concrete pump trucks being sold in the Atlanta auction are the last 37 concrete pump trucks in a fleet of more than 160 concrete pump trucks that were sold in Ritchie Bros. unreserved auctions from May to June 2009 in Forth Worth, Orlando, Nashville and Houston as part of a complete dispersal of the former assets of Pumpco Inc., a concrete pumping service company with operations throughout the Southern and Southeastern United States.

"Buyers in the market for one of these concrete pump trucks should take advantage of the large inventory we'll have in our Atlanta unreserved auction and buy now," said Darrin Hogeboom, Regional Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "It's a great opportunity to bid on a large grouping of concrete pump trucks all in one place at one time."

The majority of the concrete pump trucks being sold in the auction are mounted on a Mack chassis and manufactured by Putzmeister, Schwing, and Concord - three of the largest and most recognized concrete pump manufacturers in the world. Pumpco representatives will be on-site in the yard the weekend prior to the auction to provide concrete pump truck demonstrations to interested bidders.

More than 90 owners including Graham Brothers Construction Company Inc., Maxim Crane Works LP, Ring Power Crane and WF Jackson Construction Co. Inc. will also be selling equipment in the unreserved auction. Equipment being sold includes: 70 skid steer loaders, 40 hydraulic excavators, 40 forklifts, 25 crawler tractors and 20 wheel loaders. The auction will also feature a small number of cranes and logging and transportation equipment.
