Despite its rugged design specifications, the CK performs like a first-class kitchen. While preparing the episode's menu which included jambalaya, chicken pot pie, corn and potato chowder, green beans, ham and mashed potato croquettes and bread pudding, Lagasse commented, "Did you take a peek inside?
