Global Strategies Group (North America) Inc. Goes Green with Emeril

MCLEAN, Va., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Planet Green Channel and celebrity chef, Emeril Lagasse, will showcase the Global Strategies Group (North America) Inc. (GLOBAL North America) containerized kitchen (CK) on the Emeril Green show airing June 29, 2009 at 8:00pm in an episode titled "Operation Emeril."

The state-of-the-art CK, designed and built by the Defense Engineering division of GLOBAL North America, is a ruggedized and transportable commercial grade kitchen supporting US force modernization and mobility priorities. With the ability to feed 800 troops 3 fresh meals per day, it is designed to improve quality of life for US forces operating in some of the world's most challenging environments. Currently the Army has deployed 70 GLOBAL North America CKs to Afghanistan and Iraq. Many of the expeditionary systems designed and integrated by GLOBAL North America use innovative methods to preserve the environment. As noted by Lagasse "This new water-filtration system that they have, which separates the grease and all the food particles, is doing a good job ...in protecting the environment."

Despite its rugged design specifications, the CK performs like a first-class kitchen. While preparing the episode's menu which included jambalaya, chicken pot pie, corn and potato chowder, green beans, ham and mashed potato croquettes and bread pudding, Lagasse commented, "Did you take a peek inside? It's like any state-of-the-art commercial kitchen."
