Crude oil prices fall slightly

Crude oil fell slightly overnight on the New York Mercantile Exchange, as U.S. prices have dropped from a recent peak above $72 per barrel.
Crude oil dropped 21 cents Thursday to $70.82 per barrel. Heating oil fell 0.0144 cents to $1.8486 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline slid 0.0005 cents to $2.0321 per gallon. Natural gas prices gained 0.027 cents to $4.28 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.685 Thursday, up from Wednesday's $2.679 a gallon, AAA said.
