JGR Copa body boards recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of JGR Copa body boards due to excessive lead in the paint used on the undersides.

About 900 of the 18 inch Kick Body Boards imported from China by JGR Copa LLC of Hollywood, Fla., include green logos with the words Big Lizard on the underside that violate federal lead paint standards, the commission said.

The body boards were sold at various sports and beach-accessory outlets between January 2009 and May 2009 for about $4.

Consumers were advised to take the body boards away from children immediately and return them to the retailer for a full refund.
