Entergy Releases 2008 Sustainability Report
Achievements include CO2 emissions nearly 18 percent below cumulative stabilization goal
Entergy’s annual sustainability report takes a close look at how the company raised the bar on employee safety performance, met customer expectations, delivered investor returns, protected the environment and contributed back to the community.

Highlights from Entergy’s 2008 sustainability report include:
- Cumulative CO2 emissions from 2002-2008 were nearly 18 percent below the company’s cumulative stabilization goal.
- A total of 60 Entergy work sites now have Star status under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program.
- The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program secured
$313 million in federal funding.

Entergy was named to the exclusive Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for a seventh consecutive year in 2008 and was, again, the only U.S. utility selected for the world index. Entergy was also named to the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index in 2008, the fifth consecutive year to receive this recognition.
