Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) Extends $29 Fare Promotion Through July

Posted on: Wednesday, 1 July 2009, 10:48 CDT

ACES reaffirms its commitment to a summer of savings and value

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) - the only direct train service between New York City and Atlantic City - announced it will extend its $29 fare promotion through the end of July.

After an overwhelming response to the "All Afford!" $29 promotion, ACES has decided to extend the special offer for another three weeks to give further opportunity for travelers to try the train. The extension of the $29 coach fare promotion supports ACES' commitment to provide customers with a summer of savings and value.

"Many who have taken the train based on the $29 fare were surprised to discover the other amenities the train has to offer, including roomy, comfortable seating, ample legroom and plenty of space to store luggage," said Jennifer Weissman, regional vice president of marketing, Harrah's Entertainment Atlantic City. "Others who tried ACES to merely beat the traffic learned they can purchase an alcoholic beverage, snacks, a gourmet deli sandwich or salad and sit back and enjoy the ride. With the summer season now in full swing, the feedback on the service has been incredibly positive."

All coach-class tickets will be $29 through July 31, with first-class seats available for an additional $25. Travelers who want to take advantage of this limited time offer can book weekend departures at this special price via www.acestrain.com or www.amtrak.com.

Customers looking to book their trips on ACES can log on to www.acestrain.com to view schedules and reserve tickets for both classes of service as well as the lounge car. When visiting acestrain.com to purchase tickets, passengers can also find links to Harrah's Resort Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa - the train's partner properties - and book their total A.C. getaway.

With only one stop in Newark, the two-and-a-half hour ACES trip offers passengers upgraded leather seating, both first- and coach-class travel experiences as well as a lounge available for private booking. First-class seating is found on the upper deck of the train and features seat-side food and beverage service. Purchase of the lounge offers customers four seated tickets with the opportunity to invite friends along to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere complete with four plasma televisions, table-top space and group seating. The ACES train makes nine round trips throughout the weekend.
