Florida Based Environmental Firm Proceeds Into Prototype Production of The RISS System(TM), Which Is A System for Removal of Indoor Air Contaminants Associated With Chinese Drywall

The RISS System(TM) is effective in removing sulfur based contaminants at or below the analytical instrument detection limits (ppb to ppt), and in many cases below the odor threshold, since several of these compounds have an odor threshold below their analytical detection limit. Currently, there are no products or systems available to manage the problem of indoor air contaminants with the level of performance demonstrated by The RISS System(TM).
Dr. Huggins and his analytical team have performed Indoor Air Quality evaluations specifically for the contaminants associated with Chinese Drywall in seven, one and two story homes, ranging in size from 2,800 sq. ft. to 6,000 sq. ft. Evaluations have also included a community association club house, exercise facility and pavilion. Throughout the entire onsite testing, evaluation, and verification process, no fees have been charged for any of the testing and evaluation of this system.
In the evaluation of these facilities, in excess of twenty three (23) Tedlar Bag samples (inorganic and organic sulfur compounds), thirty seven (37) Volatile Organic Thermo-Desorption Tube samples (Volatile Organics and Carbon-based Sulfur Compounds), seven (7) Bulk samples (used to distinguish Sulfur Compounds routinely found in indoor air, i.e. Benzothiazole) and compounds from the drywall have been taken and analyzed. These Bulk samples were subjected to off-gassing studies via stainless steel chambers by an independent laboratory in

The results of all of the testing, evaluations, and verifications have allowed SabCo to make the adjustments and refinements necessary to maximize the efficacy of the system and to proceed into production of a second prototype product and system. The second prototype of the RISS System(TM) is moving into the commercial manufacturing phase of its development, and once these enhancements have been evaluated, the System will be put into final production. The final product will be made available to the public for use and operation in the Fall of 2009.
The RISS System(TM) does not require the occupants or their personal property to be removed or displaced from the residence or building, nor does it require the removal or remediation of the existing Chinese drywall. Therefore, the RISS System(TM) is a safe, expedient, affordable, and minimally invasive solution to remedy the problems of the contaminated Indoor Air and its effects associated with the installation of the contaminated Chinese Drywall.
This process is so unique and specialized that a patent application for this technology has been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This will be the second patent (Patent #4,554,078) acquired by Dr. Huggins.
The owners of this invention will be seeking a limited number of qualified installation companies on a regional basis for the on site installation and maintenance of the RISS System(TM).
Dr. Huggins has more than 25 years of experience as an expert in managing environmental health and engineering; industrial hygiene; toxicology; and occupational health and safety projects for a wide range of clients in
